VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Airport Animal Emergency Center (AAEC) - Indianapolis, Indiana
1988 to present: Trauma Surgeon and Emergency/Critical CareVeterinarian
AAEC is the oldest veterinary emergency clinic in Central Indiana, serving almost 100 veterinary hospitals after regular hours, during weekends and holidays. I am  experienced in trauma surgery, critical care, high-risk patient management, and a vast array of disorders and diseases. Alongside my work at AAEC, I have also worked in many practices as a relief veterinarian in Central Indiana as a general practitioner.

Log Cabin Animal Hospital - Indianapolis, Indiana
2004-2008: Founder and co-owner of this unique, small-animal practice which I have sold in April of 2008.

Banfield the Pet Hospital - Indianapolis, Indiana
2002-2003: Visiting veterinary surgeon and relief veterinarian.

Dunes Pet Animal Hospital - Gary, Indiana
1985-1987: Full time veterinarian working at a regular small animal practice which has won the ” Best Designed AVMA Hospital” award in 1984.

Small Animal Teaching Hospital - Szekesfehervar, Hungary
May, 1984-February, 1985: General veterinarian for companion animals specializing in surgical techniques, also teaching veterinary technician students (surgery, radiology and laboratory) and veterinary students (surgery).

Large Animal Teaching Hospital - Debrecen, Hungary
October, 1981- May, 1984: General veterinarian for cattle, swine and horses concentrating on surgical techniques, part-time zoo animal practice and race horse practice. Part-time position teaching “Animal Hospital Technology” to veterinary technician students.

Traveling, tennis, skiing, table tennis, chess, gardening and reading. Dr. Gal was also a college basketball player in Hungary.

MY FAMILY IN HUNGARY
My parents and my brother (Tamás) still live in Budapest, Hungary. I visit them as often as I can.
